How has your role changed over the years, and what have been some highlights of your career here?
My journey with AUG is no walk in the park. It is a mixture of timing, patience, persistence and endurance.
At 30, going through a rough patch in life, I received an offer from AUG Singapore. Despite having a role at a major bank in the Philippines, I chose to take a leap of faith, leaving my two young children behind to pursue a career in a new industry. With no knowledge of the Singapore market, I worked hard and rose to become Deputy Manager for Operations. A conversation with Mr. Wong over coffee sparked the vision of establishing AUG Philippines, allowing me to reunite with my family. Today, the branch is in its 8th year, transforming how students and parents view overseas education.
How do you think the company can continue to innovate and stay competitive?
We must keep track of all the current trends and be able to reinvent ourselves to meet the demands of the industry. The company must continue to choose the right people with the same vision and empower them to make an impact. In this industry, the possibilities are endless.
Where do you see the company going in the next 5 years?
AUG will continue to flourish and open new branches in countries where there is so much potential. The company will be significant in creating more employment, grow different departments and continue filling in wherever there is a gap in the industry.
Have you witnessed any impactful decisions or changes shaped the company's direction?
The new offices that AUG is establishing proves its commitment to provide better service to our students. With the many facilities and manpower required, it means that the company is growing and innovating to the right direction.
